What should I do if my water heater is leaking from the bottom?

If water is pooling under the heater, shut off the cold-water valve and turn off the power or gas, then call for service. A bottom leak can indicate tank failure, which usually requires replacement. We repair leaks and install new tank or tankless units, and our typical installs include a new ball valve, supply lines, expansion tank, flood stop, disconnect box, drain pan, and an upgraded drain-down valve. Same-day service is available in Austin, Bastrop, and nearby.
